ABOUT THE SHOW

Capt. Ron Gauthier, the host of "Captain Ron's Ocean Explorer," has a knack for making undersea life fun and fascinating – and a lot of the time, his cooking makes that sea life delectable! This popular Charter and Coast Guard Captain and Divemaster has put together a show that is universally appealing – whether they be armchair adventurers or gung-ho explorers.

When Ron and his experts explore an area, they do more than throw out a line and fish. They find the best things to do and places to see, and give you the interesting historical tidbits that give an area perspective. You'll see things like underwater cave exploration, cavern diving, spear fishing and a search for ancient artifacts.

The show also features tips to keep you and your family safe while exploring or enjoying the ocean, and ways you can help protect the fragile ocean environment. Episodes include deep dropping in the Grand Bahamas, Wahoo fishing in North Carolina, lobster diving in the Florida Keys, and angling for king salmon in Alaska.

Besides witnessing these exciting hunts, you'll see Ron cook up the catch and share his delicious recipes. Previous catch/recipes include mouth-watering treats like Braised Whole Snapper Chili, 3 Rivers Blackened Fish with Garlic Shrimp Sauce, and for the truly adventurous, Fried Gator Bites!

Explore the waters of the South and East Coasts and beyond with "Capt. Ron's Ocean Explorer." You'll eat it up!
